Will you mind lending your book to other Bibliophile? #BookExchange
-Ernest Hemingway
People these days have
started developing their interest in reading habits. Especially young parents
from youngest age of child kick them to read books so they can develop their
interest in words and pages. This is a fascinating habit if one stays on it.
Even psychologists have
conveyed, ‘Those who read can improve their cognition throughout the lifespan.’
Also, they have told ‘Reading even works as memory exercise!’ These facts are
always a pleasure to one who is investing in developing the personality.
Research even tells ‘Those who are found of Fictional genre are positively
correlated to the social activity and they feel empathy towards others
Reading is a stunning
activity to do in your free time especially for introverts. For extroverts, it
can prove to be a boon to get more and more topics to talk about externally.
So the avid readers have a lot of collections to read. Maybe if one is fond of book smell, he might have a long list of ‘to be read' instead of ‘already read list’. This thing is also a kind of honor one feels towards oneself.
“A Book is a Dream that you
hold in your hands.”
-Neil Gaiman
This proverb is truly said. Many amongst us have a love for books but can’t read because they can’t afford to invest in books in priority to their necessity. Not all can fulfill their dreams.
Even Youth today is better
at investing and saving plans than our parents use to be. Because we have good
knowledge and medium to do this. So people like us won’t bother to go to the
book shop and buy a new one and keep the stock and let the space be consumed.
Many of us cannot even read
the same book for a second time also, especially when it is a mysterious or
suspenseful kind of book. Then why can’t we forward to others who desire to
read the same?
-Garrison Keillor
It is rightly said by our ancestors, ‘Donation of Food and Knowledge is the biggest of all.’
Right now I am not aware of any kind of platform where books can be exchanged or forwarded to random people. (PS. If anyone knows about it, please let me know.)
So somehow I had an idea to share the books I have with the one who wishes to read the same. I alone won’t be able to do this. Because this requires a huge reader community and good networks too. So I wish to get some guidance from you people ‘How can I start this?’ as well as ‘What can be done to involve maximum people in this chain?’.
